Natural Energy Boosting Tips

by Daniel Evar |

During the week, my day to day activities are pretty routine, I wake up early to go for a run, head to the office, go to the gym, and grab dinner and occasionally a drink. Because I’m always on the go I sometimes feel my energy levels start to dwindle. And every once in a while I find there is a little less pep in my step in the mornings. While I know there are several energy drinks and pills on the market, I choose to look to healthier, more natural alternatives to giving myself some extra energy during the day. Here are some Natural Energy Boosting Tips, and learn more with our Instant Mood-Boosting Tips.

Eat Protein

Protein gives you a steady stream of energy that will last for a few hours, as your body digests it. For breakfast- choose a hearty helping of eggs or a veggie-packed omelet. I also pack a nuts or a granola bar with me for a mid-day snack.

Wash your face

Use the best facial cleanser for men, which has rosemary oil and caffeine extracts that keep your skin looking and feeling refreshed and awake. Always rinse off your cleanser with cold water, which minimizes the appearance of pores, while also giving you a quick energy boost. Be sure to use shaving cream and a shaving brush for the ultimate shave! As well as our premium grooming products. If you have a long beard or cool mustache style, be sure to check out our beard conditioner.

Stay Hydrated

If you’re feeling listless, your body might be thirsty. Make sure you are having at least 8 glasses of water a day. Almost every system in your body requires water to function, so it’s important that you keep hydrated. A cold 8-ounce glass of water will give you some energy in just a few minutes. Make sure your skin is hydrated as well, and you can do this by using The Gentlemen's Face Moisturizer which includes charcoal for men's skin.

Take a walk in the sun

Take 10 minutes before work or even during your lunch break to go outside and be in the sun. The fresh air and sunlight are actually a natural anti-depressant that prompts your body to make vitamin D and happiness hormones, which will definitely give you a boost.

Eat Some Chocolate

Like you needed an excuse. Studies have shown that a small piece of energy is an easy and satisfying way for some natural energy. Chocolate, especially dark chocolate, is full of antioxidants that keep your body happy and healthy.

Don’t forget to breathe

I know that when I am running around from work to dinner to home, and constantly texting or emailing just to catch up, I often forget to just stop and breathe. It sounds so simple, but we all don’t realize how important it is to just stop for a few seconds and take a deep breath. Do it a few times a day, and you’ll realize how something so simple can easily brighten up your day.

Rub Your Ears

This might sound strange, but don’t knock it until you really try it. Grab your ear lobe with your thumb and forefinger and rub it up and down for at least 30 seconds. This massaging motion stimulates your brain’s energy centers, which will get energy flowing throughout your body.

Load up on Vitamins

If you are feeling extra sluggish, it might be due to a lack of nutrients in your body. While you should obviously, be packing your meals with whole grains, lean meats, and veggies to give your body the nutrition it requires to stay healthy, there really isn’t anything wrong with taking supplemental vitamins to make sure you are getting just what you need. You can choose a total vitamin pill, or I prefer a multi-vitamin drink that includes energy-producing essentials. Of course, always consult with a doctor or pharmacist before adding any supplements to your routine.
