Be the Best Dressed Guy at Your Holiday Party

by Zack Evar |

Thanksgiving is this week, officially opening the holiday season with its many holiday parties. So how can you dress to impress without looking like you are trying too much? Here is our quick guide on how to be the best dressed guy at your holiday party.

Research the Party

is this a formal event? a casual get together? an office party? understand where you are headed so you can dress the part. Try not to over do it, but don't underdress either. It is always better to be a bit overdressed than to show up to a fancy soiree looking like you just got out of bed.

Skip the green and red colors

Unless you are invited to an ugly sweater party, skip the green and red colors. Instead, opt for evening or party attire you will wear year round.

Grooming is key

Tame that beard or go clean shaven...whatever your preferences are, make sure you look the part.  If you are planning to keep your beard, make sure you use the cedarwood beard conditioner if you have a long beard or mustache style. Don't forget to use our fabulous shaving cream, which includes charcoal for men's skin.  and shaving brush for the ultimate shave so you will not only look the part, you'll smell it too. Make sure you keep your hands smooth and clean with hand repair lotion and walnut hand and foot scrub. Look into some of our other premium grooming products.

Leave the tie at home

If you are going to an office party, or a more casual get together, a tie screams trying-too-hard. Unless this is a black tie or formal event, ditch the tie and go for a nice button-down shirt in a color that complements your jacket and pants.

Don't forget the accessories

Nice watch, cool statement cuff-links or a stylish pair of eye-glasses can upgrade your outfit and bring it from day to night.

Invest in shoes

shoes can elevate any outfit while truly making a statement. A good pair of leather shoes that will go with multiple outfits can make all the difference. Shoes are not an afterthought. They can make the entire outfit.

Office party? Err on the conservative side

Always make the more conservative choice when you dress for your office holiday party. After all, this is a work function and your boss is likely just around the corner.  If you dress conservatively in a dark suit, you’ll look great and no one will be offended.

Don't just dress like a gent. Be one!

Don't be the office joke who drank one too many only to hear about it until 2018. Have fun, enjoy yourself, but keep it cool and under control.
