Lately, I have been obsessed with the notion that I am what I eat (and boy do I eat a lot.) I did some research and found out that certain food (especially from the veggie variety) have powerhouse ingredients that keep skin dewy, smooth and younger looking. So do we all need to turn vegetarians? Absolutely not! The idea is to add this good, natural options to your daily diet to achieve glowing skin. Here are 5 foods that will make your skin look better and maintain the best men skin care! Even though food can help your skin look better, make sure you are also utilizing a great skin care routine. Make sure you check out our Face moisturizer, which includes charcoal for men's skin, and our shaving cream and shaving brush.

Kale

There is so much talk about Kale’s antioxidant properties, it is almost boring. But we can’t ignore Kale’s skin care benefits. Vitamin A found in kale promotes skin cell growth and helps to keep your skin look clear, young and fresh.

Avocados

They are also filled with antioxidants like lutein and beta-carotene that can improve your skin from the inside. Avocados are a great source of antioxidant carotenoids like alpha-carotene, beta-carotene, beta-kryptoxanthin, zeaxanthin and lutein. These free radical compounds provide excellent protection for your skin from environmental damage that leads to fine lines, wrinkles and other visible signs of aging.

High amounts of carotenoids in your diet have been shown in scientific studies to improve your skin’s density, thickness, tone and general appearance.

Pomegranates

The high vitamin content and abundance of tannins in pomegranates promotes food and all around health. The high vitamin content also has anti-aging benefits, helping fights fine lines and wrinkles. Pomegranate juice is actually better at replenishing dry, dull skin. It is also a great plant-derived source of vitamin C. Which studies have shown can decrease skin roughness when applied topically.

Kiwi

The nutrient rich kiwi contains high amounts of vitamin E, which is a natural skin moisturizer. Kiwis also contain large amounts of vitamin C, which helps our bodies produce collagen, leading to firmer looking skin. Vitamin C not only firms skin but can actually help in rebuilding and repairing it. Surprisingly, Kiwis have more vitamin C than any other fruit, which helps cuts and abrasions heal and it also works to prevent rough dry skin.

Tomatoes

Tomatoes contain an excellent source of lycopene, which may just help protect your skin from sun damage so it stays smooth and young looking as you age. To activate the lycopene benefits of your tomatoes, it’s important to cook them a little.
