There are many over the counter products that have been used to treat acne effectively. They come in the form of creams and cleansing cloths. With the cleansing cloths, there will more often than not be alcohol involved. It dries out your skin and in a sense, that’s how it gets rid of your acne. Unfortunately, it dries out your skin…did I mention it dries out your skin? For those with sensitive skin, stick with cream based acne treatment.
Lastly, you can always try a natural way. Raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar is one of those products that has countless uses; curing acne is one of them. It kills the bacteria that causes acne and balances the pH level in your skin. Apple cider vinegar is also a natural astringent.
Mix three-quarters water and one quarter apple cider vinegar in a container, cover and shake. Apply to the affected area and leave it on overnight.
The thought of putting yogurt on your face may make you cringe, however, it is an excellent way of treating acne. Mix equal parts of yogurt and honey together and apply to your face to create a thick mask. You may have to do this a couple of times to make sure the mask is thick enough. Let it dry completely. Wash your face with warm water and use a circular motion to exfoliate.
Who doesn’t love oranges? Whether you drink the juice, eat the sections or cook with them, oranges are a favorite treat for just about everyone! Believe it not, orange peels make a great treatment for acne! Oranges contain vitamin C and contains astringent properties.
One you’ve eaten the orange, take the peels and put them in a food processor; grind them up adding one tablespoon of water to make a moderately thick paste. Apply to your skin and let it dry for about half an hour, depending on how thick the paste is. Rinse with warm water and pat your face dry.
